Changes to the rules for automatic tracking of Russian Post shipments

For the operation of our online store, we actively took advantage of the automatic tracking of packages - a GET request with a 14-digit code of sending sent to a page with complete information about the passage of the package. It is very convenient both for the back-office of the store and for customers - you can send them not only a tracking code, but also a tracking link. Russian Post has changed the terms of providing such a service.

On August 31, 2011, a message appeared on the website of the Information and Computing Center of the OASU RPO:

The services provided by the website of the All-Russian automated system for recording and controlling the passage of registered mail items are open only to authorized users.

To track mailings, use the service “Tracking mailings” provided by the FSUE Russian Post Internet portal: www.russianpost.ru

Owners of Internet resources that track mailings can apply with an official request for access to the Directorate of Technologies and Informatization of FSUE Russian Post at fc@russianpost.ru .

Unfortunately, there are no details - what does “official request” mean by e-mail - therefore, I have so far sent a letter in free form. Quickly received a response.

The technological site of the Information and Communication Center of the OASU RPO (info.russianpost.ru) is closed for public access in the part “Tracking RPO”. The OASU RPO website was developed for the needs of FSUE Russian Post and is now available only to its employees.
To track mailings, we ask you to use this service on the official website of FSUE Russian Post: www.russianpost.ru For
large corporate clients FSUE Russian Post can offer:
1 - data exchange between information systems of federal customers FSUE Russian Post and the system OASU RPO (tracking RPO status in batches),
2 - integration of the RPO tracking service with the client’s website.
