Easter egg, konami code and arkanoid

    Instead of the foreword

Technologies, technologies, technologies. Everything is running somewhere, flowing and there is no way to stop this crazy stream. Yes and whether it is necessary? Nevertheless, behind a series of new, fashionable words, and what is hidden behind them, we often miss something important. No, not at all globally, not even enough to understand that we have missed something. A little bit, every day delving into another new curiosity, its features, nuances, difference from other technologies already studied, we erase a piece of professional “I” and boldly write new knowledge from above. However, this topic is not philosophical reasoning about how hard it is for all of us and what to do with it, but about how to make the Internet a little brighter and more interesting, and a little happier yourself, you need almost nothing ... well, maybe a bit of javascript.

    Set, decoupling and epilogue

About two years ago, my beloved wife decided to take up photography, and about two months back, she matured in order to create a website with her portfolio. For me, as a web developer, this was a great occasion: firstly, for all the years of professional work, I never got my own page and did something almost for myself - it was very honest with mine, almost atrophied, urge for self-expression; Well, and secondly - what could be better than a job that is fun?

Development to the limit, extreme design, programming for sixteen hours - all this is not about creating this site. The page was implemented in one evening, another evening went into revision, and then within two months some little things were added, for ergonomics. However, I wanted something else. Not just a page with photos - which in the end is just a narrative from one person, I wanted a dialogue with visitors. Some kind of good old toy that will remind each visitor of their own, some long-forgotten, but very warm feelings. And to make it all look unusual and attractive, I hid it all in an Easter egg in the form of a konami code .

    And so, go: http://kristinagreke.com , click: ↑, ↑, ↓, ↓ ←, →, ←, →

All dynamics are made exclusively on javascript, but actually there is nothing else there. All the work of the Easter egg together took about five hours. Yes, there is room for optimization, but for today, I allowed myself not to be a pedantic encoder.

And most importantly - good thoughts do not require much, you already have everything that is required, just do not bother them to be embodied.
