Liqpay: SMS invoicing proudly named POS terminal
Recently, the habrayuzer mentioned the event.
I will not duplicate the description, here is the original .
I’ll try to clarify some obscure points.
So, it should be remembered that the main identifier (login) in the Liqpay system is a mobile phone number, and each number has 4 accounts in hryvnias, rubles, dollars and euros.
The proposed scheme works as follows:
(We believe that the seller has already activated his verified card for issuing SMS accounts)
1) The seller invoices the buyer by SMS (amount + currency + phone number of the buyer): The
buyer receives a message:
2) The buyer pays the invoice from the payment card to liqpay account (i.e. to phone number: card number + expiration date + cvv code):
3) Both comes sms on the transaction
a) the buyer:
b) the seller:
Note that the debit shows the customer’s phone number, not his card number.
What is not written in either the private blog or the Habré is about the need to verify the buyer's card in the Liqpay system. Those. the buyer must log into the system, add his card, call his bank and find out the amount blocked when adding the card, and then enter it on the website of the lyceum to complete the verification.
With unverified liqpay cards, you cannot pay an SMS account.
Accordingly, the chip can not be called either a POS terminal for dummies (the original name of the post in the private blog) or sms acquiring.
Advantages of the scheme: commissions are not charged for this operation. According to the rates of lycpe: from card to lycpe = 0, inside the system = 0. If you withdraw from lykpey to the card, then pay half a dollar + half a percentage (Privat card) or 2 bucks and one percent when withdrawing to other cards.
With verified cards, payments occur in minutes.
In my opinion, one could do without verification of the buyer's card, because in comparison with Internet acquiring, only the channel of communication with the bank from http to sms is replaced here.
Is this an attempt by the bank to acquaint the buyer with its service?
The opinion of habrapuserov is interesting.
upd 12.10:After waiting for the night, when people with brains remain in the support chat, I decided to clarify why this additional verification of the card, which negates all the intended convenience, is unnecessary.
The meaning of the answer that I was able to extract from them in half an hour was this: only Ukrainian cards are accepted through Internet acquiring, and liqpay works with cards all over the world, which requires enhanced verification.
The second question: why not divide the cards into Ukrainian and others?
In response, they mumbled something about the legislation in different countries and possible problems. On this I realized that I would not get a clear answer.
