HDRA Interactive Mixer Prototype - Next Gen Game Audio Tool
Andrew Quinn created a prototype interactive mixer in max / msp. Dacking, mixer snapshots, import of VST effects, insert and return for them, change of effect parameters depending on the game parameter (controller), and even midi control is born. It all works like this: the mixer settings for game situations are set. For example, depending on the intensity of what is happening:
1. One hundred players on airplanes under the grindcore bomb a town with a million mobs.
2. One dumb spherical mob in the lotus position thinks of the eternal in a vacuum.
3. Intermediate options.
It can be used not only depending on the saturation of what is happening. For example, it is convenient to switch camera modes in the simulator and apply various parameters of ducking, volume of groups of sounds, add effects and change their parameters relative to the view of the car or from the cockpit / cockpit. Indur / Outdur, etc.
To switch from one state of the mixer (snapshot) to another, interpolation is implemented with the curve and delay settings.
It also implements a system for selecting the current mixer snapshot by priority, in case more than one snapshot is called.
And all this with a convenient and intuitive sound designer interface.
