Flash Player 10 - on most smartphones in 2010

At the GSMA Mobile World Congress, Adobe solemnly promised that over the next two years, a fully functional version of Flash Player 10 will appear on almost all new smartphones. Flash will be preinstalled on devices running Windows Mobile, Google Android, Nokia S60 / Symbian, and even under the new Palm OS. New smartphones with all these OSs will go on sale from the very beginning of 2010.

The only popular device that can be left without a flash is the iPhone.

The course on porting Flash to most mobile platforms was taken in the fall of 2008. However, even then it became clear that there would be problems with the release for the iPhone. Although there were no technical difficulties, and Adobe programmers made it clearthat they can prepare the release in just a couple of days, but they still haven’t received permission from Apple. Negotiations between the companies continue , but it is unlikely that they will succeed, because Apple perceives Flash as a kind of “Trojan horse” in its monocultural system.
