From now on PDF is an international standard

Now the PDF 1.7 format has officially become the international standard ISO 32000. In its corporate blog , Adobe announced that the international organization for standardization (ISO) approved this format - 13 out of 15 countries voted for the adoption of PDF 1.7 by the international standard.

Among the countries that approved the format without any comments were Australia, Bulgaria, Spain, China, Poland, Ukraine, Sweden, South Africa and Japan. The standardization of the format, but with recommendations and suggestions, was advocated by the United Kingdom, Germany, USA and Switzerland. The number of such comments was 205, which Adobe has to consider. As a result, only two countries excelled: the representative of our country abstained, and the representative of France decided to vote against standardization of the format.

In total, the percentage of non-negative votes was 93.3%, although for a positive decision it was necessary to gain 66.7%. Congratulations to Adobe, which developed this cross-platform format for electronic documents and achieved its standardization.
