How do you perceive your birthday?

For me personally, there are two dates in the year when I think about what has been done and what remains to be done in my life - this is a new year and a birthday.

Moreover, I perceive the new year as a new room in a series of rooms of the big palace: on the night from 31 to 1 a new door opens to a new room, I go into it and can no longer return to the already completed rooms (almost like on an excursion in the Petrodvorets: ))
And each room a new door promises me something new, interesting, something that I had not seen or did not know before.

On a birthday, things have been a little more complicated lately.
A tough reflection rolls on his birthday :) And the further, the stronger it is ...

I think this is because birthdays measure my final life, and the new year practically does not measure anything, because this is a milestone of infinite (at least from the point of view of human life) time :)

Do thoughts come to you on this day that do not happen at other times?
