Government agencies in no hurry to switch to Windows Vista

The Department of Transportation (DOT) and the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) are in no hurry to upgrade to Windows Vista, citing compatibility issues that may arise from such a move.

“We do not allow Vista computers to connect to our network. Employees are currently testing applications and evaluating security levels, ”said Michael Baum, a NIST spokesman.

The fact that large structures are "delaying" the transition to a new OS is not surprising - if we are talking about information security, then "it is better to overtake than not to end up." Moreover, this measure is temporary.
