Using it, they expect to influence the attitude of the State Duma towards the “right to oblivion” by phoning users by phoning deputies and sending them messages about the inexpediency of adopting the law in its current form.

Recall that the law establishes the ability to remove any information about a person from search results.

image They want to close the public MDK because of a comic picture

State Duma deputies sent inquiries to Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika and the head of Roskomnadzor Alexander Zharov demanding to close the popular public MDK on the VKontakte social network because of a joke about the death of Zhanna Friske.

Recall that the scandal surrounding the public MDK, to which more than 6.5 million people subscribed, flared up on June 16, the day when it became known about the death of the popular Russian singer Zhanna Friske. The community administration posted a photo depicting the singer, which some users found offensive.

Soon after a wave of publications on this subject in the media, the picture was removed from the public. According to the VKontakte administration, this was done on their own initiative, and not by the creators of MDK. The MDK community has also been disconnected from the ad exchange after publication.
