Main tech trends CES 2016

1. Self-driving cars and electric cars

If a year earlier we could observe only concepts, now ready-made products were presented:

• FFZERO1 - a prototype of the electric car company Faraday Future;
• Budd-e - the concept of the minibus Budd-e (a new interpretation of the iconic Microbus model);
• Chevy Bolt electric car, which will begin to be sold in 2017;
• Microsoft's CHAD system that collects metrics from smartphones and connected traffic lights.

 
2. Smart home

The developments that give our home intelligence, are becoming more interesting:

• Wi-Fi 802.11ah (HaLow) standard from the WiFi Alliance for communication in the 900 MHz band, providing action in a larger radius, will reduce energy consumption;
• SUHD TVs, which will become the center for controlling a smart home;
• TP-LINK SR20 router, which can become a hub for the Internet of things;
• Petcube Protect cloud service, which works on the principle of a home security system for pet care and detection of atypical activity in the house.

 
3. USB Type-C

Based on the capabilities, it allows you to connect to chargers, external drives and monitors. The 2016 exhibition was pleased with a number of peripherals that support this format. 
 
 
4. Wi-Fi 802.11ad standard.
