Tesla owners ignore safety advice and give up

As you know, last Thursday Tesla Model S received a firmware update version 7.0, which added the autopilot function to the electric car. A few hours later , videos began to appear on the Internet on which Model S owners try how it works. Interestingly, the press release dedicated to the release of the update clearly states not only that the new function has the status of "beta", but also that drivers must constantly keep their hands on the steering wheel. TheVerge has compiled a selection of videos from which it is clear that, in all likelihood, Tesla owners also carefully read the "User Agreement", as is customary when installing other programs.

In a short video with a characteristic name, it is clearly visible that Tesla has problems when approaching a car moving in the oncoming lane, and the driver barely manages to turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction. To the credit of Tesla, it must be admitted that the system gives a characteristic sound signal even before the oncoming car was very close, and if the driver really had his hands on the steering wheel, then everything could be dispensed with:

In the next video, Tesla behaves quite confidently while on a multi-lane highway with a clearly visible dividing strip. But as soon as the driver tries to move on a clearly secondary road with one-way traffic, the car continues to go to the right and the autopilot's work again has to be urgently corrected:

A little earlier, Elon Musk himself in an interview with the BBC hoped that the autopilot function would leave pedestrians unharmed and clearly emphasized that in any accident the driver would still have to answer, without the possibility of shifting his responsibility to the software.
