Hardkernel has released a new version of the 37-dollar mini-PC

In December last year, Hardkernel launched a mini-PC model that is very similar to the Raspberry Pi. This gadget was called ODROID-C1, and its capabilities significantly exceeded the capabilities of "raspberry". So, this mini-PC is quite similar to the Raspberry Pi B +, and the form factor and even the GPIO connectors are similar. But ODROID-C1 was equipped with a quad-core Cortex-A5 processor with a frequency of 1.5GHz, 1GB DDR3, a gigabit network card and a few more “geeky” bells and whistles. A comparison of both models is continued.

Now a new version of Odroid has appeared - C1 + . The cost of the device is not $ 35, but $ 37, and its capabilities are even better than its predecessor.

    So, the new mini-PC has a quad-core Amlogic S805 ARM Cortex-A5.

What's new in ODROID-C1 +? It has a full-sized HDMI port instead of micro-HDMI. Passive cooling is also installed, there is an I2S bus for HiFi, plus CEC functions are supported without a backup RT-battery.

The developers claim that the new model improves the compatibility of SD-cards, and the energy is supplied via the USB OTG port, so that the USB-cable and a regular DC adapter can serve as a source of energy.

The remaining options have not changed much - here is 1 GB of RAM, a slot for microSD memory cards, with the possibility of increasing capacity up to 64 GB. There is a gigabit Ethernet port, two USB 2.0 ports, a micro-USB port 40-pin GPIO, compatible with accessories for raspberries. The size of the mini PC is only 3.4 * 2.2 inches.

The system supports Android and Linux.
