Porn Trend as an Indicator of Runet Growth Zones
Purely by chance I saw such a trend of Google .
Immediately struck by the lack of capitals - very unusual.
The following hypothesis arose: who is looking for porn on the Internet in such a straightforward way? Probably just novice users. So, this trend can characterize those cities of Runet, in which exactly now there is an active growth of the Internet population.
Having entered the relationship with the population in these cities, and having carried out simple arithmetic, I got the following table TOP-10 of the “hot spots” of Runet:
No. City Activity, parrots
1 Gomel, Belarus 12.0
2 Simferopol, Ukraine 10.8
3 Khabarovsk, Russia 8.6
4 Krasnodar, Russia 8.4
5 Zaporozhye, Ukraine 5.7
6 Volgograd, Russia 5.2
7 Ufa, Russia 4.2
8 Rostov-Na-Donu, Russia 4.0
9 Kazan, Russia 3.9
10 Nizhny Novgorod, Russia 3.4
Checking these calculations on Yandex was even easier . Using sorting by regional popularity and looking at the first 10, we see a very similar picture:
No. City Regional popularity,%
1 Stavropol 195.72
2 Vladivostok 183.95
3 Krasnoyarsk 164.42
4 Krasnodar 159.33
5 Ufa 154.97
6 Volgograd 153.65
7 Kazan 153.37
8 Irkutsk 145.57
9 Lower Novgorod 142.50
10 Rostov-on-Don 138.92
The sample of Yandex did not include the cities of Belarus and Ukraine (minus 3 from the first table), and six out of the remaining seven coincided.
Such a strange statistical research turned out to be available at hand :)
